History
In 1988 Larry Switzer came upon a job working for United Auto Parts on 11th and Wabash in Terre Haute, IN. He was a young kid just married and starting a life with a beautiful wife Annette, who supported all and every decision he ever made. While working for 13 years at United, he went from being just another mechanic in town, to being a well known and respected man, with a big heart and the will to fix any problem you and your vehicle has.
While United Auto Parts was more of a parts selling business and less of an auto repair business with just two guys doing mechanical work, sales were slowly declining. So in 2000 United Auto Parts closed its doors, and with that means Larry had to go too. He had a friend with a nice sized shop and a decent customer base, by the name of Joe Isbell or Isbells Car Care Center. He and Joe made a deal to become partners and in 2001 it was official: Isbell/Switzer Car Care Center.

A couple years later Larry made an offer to buy Joe out and own and run the business. Joe accepted the offer and now the business in 2003 became Switzer Auto Repair. Small at first, the business has grown more than three times its original size. Now offering paint and body work along with anything you can imagine that can break or be broken on your car, you can trust that the newly established Switzer Auto Repair and Body Shop, Inc. can solve the problem.
